This wood-laden wine shows dark tannins and spice as much as fruit at this stage. There needs to be plenty of time for the black-currant flavors in this blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon to show more boldly. Wait until 2022.

Médoc

The Médoc appellation combines three types of terroir: the Pyrenees gravel, the Garonne gravel, and the clay-limestone soils. Given the importance of the size of the appellation, these terroirs are characterized by an extreme variety of soils and subsoils. The Médoc enjoys an exceptional geographical location and a unique underground. Gravel rumps give birth to great wines. The blend of Merlot (the most important grape variety of the AOC), with Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Malbec give the wines charm and balance. The mouth of the Médoc is well structured, full on a frame of tasty tannins.
