Lalande de Pomerol

This AOC is located in two municipalities: Lalande-de-Pomerol and Néac. In Lalande, the basements are mainly composed of gravel. In Néac, the vineyard is planted on a higher plateau, composed of gravel and sands. Merlot dominates the blend of these wines very close to those of Pomerol. Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec are also used in the composition of wines.
The Lalande-de-Pomerol are characterized by a deep red, a guarantee of powerful and bouquety wines. The tannic presence is revealed on the attack but the warm side quickly reappears on the palate where the tannins become velvety.
