Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2018 Brisson leaps from the glass with a mélange of black cherries, blackberry coulis and cedary notes with nuances of bay leaves, tobacco and tilled soil. Full-bodied with a firm, ripe, grainy texture, it has a lovely line of freshness cutting through the densely packed black fruit layers, finishing on a mineral note.

This bold, powerful wine is full-bodied and rich in dark tannins. The dense texture of the fruit and one year in wood have combined to give a wine verging on over-the-top richness. Drink from 2022.

Juicy and direct, with a mix of red currant and damson notes lined with cedar and red tea through the finish, where a hint of warm earth peeks in, giving it a touch of rusticity. Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Drink now through 2022. 10,000 cases made, 1,000 cases imported.

Homestead founded in 1878 Château Brisson has the know-how of five generations working in the vineyards, uncommon knowledge in viticulture and winemaking. Knowledge of plots is a major advantage because knowing how they have evolved from planting until the last vintage allows optimal management. The winery was built in two stages in 1991 and 2001 is equipped with the latest infrastructure, present in the best French vineyards. Winemaking techniques include pre-fermentation maceration, a gentle pneumatic pressing, filling barrels by gravity, storage in concrete tanks under the ground ...

Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux

Coming from the same limestone plateau as Saint-Emilion, east of Bordeaux, the wines of Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux benefit from a privileged geographic location with a full southern exposure and a level from an altitude of more than 100 meters. Gravel near the Dordogne river, the clay soils at the bottom of the hills become clayey limestone then limestone on the plateaus. 3 main types of terroir that make Castillon an exceptional land.
