The Château Peyrabon already figured on the Belleyme map in the year 1766. The map was created in the 18th century by the king's ingenieur: Pierre de Belleyme. It is the oldest written proof of the properties existence. At the time, Château Peyrabon was classified as being a wine-growing holding located on the Saqint-Sauveur Pauillac denomination. Since 1998, Patrick Bernard has invested near to 2 000 000 euros in order to modernize the property. High quality wines could not have been obtained without good quality grapes; therefore the majority of the capital has been re-invested into the renovation of the cellars and the vineyards.
2 hectars have been acquired in 2005; ideally placed between Château Lafite-Rothschild and Château Mouton- Rothschild, in the locality La Lande de Berret; which has been added to the production of Château Le Fleur Peyrabon since the 2006 vintage.
