Médoc and Haut-Médoc are a big part of the vineyard Medoc, many small areas, but also many Crus Bourgeois, however there are few Crus-Sort. Listrac-Médoc also offers a fine range of Crus Bourgeois in a similar style with fares equally accessible.
Covering an area of 5473 hectares, the Médoc appellation includes some 584 producers, there are many homesteads "Coup de coeur" as Carmenère Castle and Castle Tower High Caussan and excellent references as Potensac Castle & Château D'Escurac
The vineyards of the Haut-Médoc (4567 hectares) surrounding mainly prestigious appellations such as Margaux, Pauillac, Moulis, Saint-Julien ... it's a large area that begins north of Bordeaux. The most famous are certainly Château La Lagune and La Tour Carnet, but you should also visit the Château Charmail whose qualitative efforts are bearing fruit.
The wine of Listrac-Médoc (566 hectares) is itself recognized as a wine wholeness. Over time, this wine has managed to make it more accessible, more open and round without losing its essence and personality.
