Château Deyrem-Valentin 2018
Margaux, Bordeaux left bank
Located in Soussans, Château Deyrem-Valentin is a family property of 13 hectares with a remarkable terroir. Jean Sorge, current owner, perpetuates with his two daughters Sylvie and Cristelle a recognized know-how. This 2018 is resolutely typical of Margaux, with all the qualities one is entitled to expect. A beautiful power but with the characteristic elegance of the great Margaux. A delicacy that will require time to be kept in order to reveal itself fully.
Château Julia 2018
Pauillac, Bordeaux left bank
This very small terroir of 0.62 hectares in the Pauillac appellation is close to the prestigious Château Lynch-Bages. Property managed by Sophie Martin, Château Julia offers modern wines which have the originality of being composed mainly of Merlot. This atypical blend for the Pauillac appellation highlights the fruit more, but without losing the typicity expected of a Pauillac. A gourmet wine that will have to wait another two or three years before tasting.
Château Moulin-Riche 2018
Saint-Julien, Bordeaux left bank
Château Moulin-Riche is produced entirely by the same teams as Château Léoville-Poyferré. Since the 2009 vintage, this wine has again become another first wine, with its own terroir. Although we clearly recognize the signature of Château Léoville-Poyferré, Château Moulin-Riche has its own identity. On the 2018 vintage, it offers a rich body, powerful tannins which will reveal a beautiful finesse within 4 or 5 years.
Château Fonbadet 2018
Pauillac, Bordeaux left bank
Surrounded by prestigious neighbours, the terroir of Château Fonbadet makes it possible to produce a genuine Pauillac of high quality. In constant improvement for a few years, the property offers a successful 2018. The blend is traditional, with 75% Cabernet-Sauvignon and 25% Merlot. The 18-month aging is done in 50% new barrels.
Château Meyney 2018
Saint-Estèphe, Bordeaux rive gauche
Château Meyney has 51 hectares of land ideally located on the banks of the river. A slope raises the vineyard up to 20 meters in altitude, which facilitates natural drainage. The 2018 is a blend of 42% Cabernet-Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, and 18% Petit Verdot. With a very rich body, this powerful Saint-Estèphe has good aging potential. A great success to discover absolutely on this vintage.
